This Hawk was hit
by a car in the middle of Hwy 129 in Gainesville, Ga.
I rescued the Hawk
from the middle of the road and called the Department of Natural Resources
(DNR).
DNR picked up the
Hawk and turned it over to a Wildlife Rehabilitator,
the rehabilitator
nursed it back to health but determined it could not see
out of it's left
eye so they turned it over to Smithgall Woods
where it is doing
well and can be viewed by the public.
The Hawk is a female
with a 36" wingspan and was called 'Hercules'
prior to being turned
over to Smithgall Woods.
Smithgall Woods has
renamed the hawk.
What they named
the Hawk is unknown to me.
